Our Story

Molly Kunkel founded My Own Molly in 2013 as a way to help a broader spectrum of people who repeatedly inquired about her assistant services while she was working full time for various executives throughout the years.

People would ask how they too could get their "own Molly."

The phrase resonated over time and finally struck a chord when Molly founded the company, giving those interested the opportunity to have a Molly of their own.

The mission: giving busy professionals and entrepreneurs the opportunity to receive their own red carpet treatment in the form of on-demand, a la carte support services.

The assistant you need for the lifestyle of your dreams.

One of Molly's greatest  influences would come from her mentor and ally, Ali Brown, whom Business News Daily deemed "The Entrepreneurial Guru for Women."

Years of working under this tutelige gave Molly the confidence, education, and experience to start her own company, My Own Molly. There is a perfect "Molly" for everyone!

A devout southerner, Molly's energy and spirit are contagious. Her formative years were spent in performing arts programs.

She received a specialized degree in Recording Arts, from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL, which has had a major influence on her years in the entertainment industry. After college, Molly traded the sunny coast of Florida for the beaches of Los Angeles where she spent over a decade honing her skills as an Executive, Administrative, & Personal Assistant, learning from the best of the best in the entertainment and online marketing industries.

She's done it all...from working with major recording labels Universal Music, Sony Music, & Warner Bros Records, to private Beverly Hills residences as an Estate Manager, to being a Talent Coordinator for The Grammys, and an Office Manager for a boutique music management company in Hollywood. Never a dull moment.

In 2013, she started MyOwnMolly to better serve the entrepreneurial community in need of on-demand support services. Over the last several years her impressive client roster has included Drybar Founder Alli Webb, ABC's Secret Millionaire Ali Brown and the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Chapter of EO (Entrepreneurs' Organization). And many amazing clients in between!

Molly and her husband, John, relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2018 to be closer to family and their southern roots. They spend their free time traveling, renovating their home, indulging in fried southern delicacies whenever possible, and hanging with their two dogs, Lucy & Lady.
